Landon built Heatmap Housing as both a software engineer and a real estate operator.

He has 15+ years of experience building backend systems and data products, the kind of work where accuracy, sourcing, and repeatability matter. But the platform didn’t come from theory.

Landon has been an active real estate investor since 2017, with hands-on experience across flips, long-term holds, BRRRR projects, small multifamily, and rentals with real-world constraints: repairs, turnover, financing, rehabs, and execution. He’s done the unglamorous parts too: demo, rebuilds, and new construction.

Heatmap Housing was born from frustration: spending weekends bouncing between Zillow, spreadsheets, rent estimates, and tax records just to answer basic questions:
Where should I buy?
What should I pay?
What does this deal look like under realistic assumptions?

So he built the tool he wished existed: market discovery and underwriting in one place, shared with investors who want clearer numbers and faster decisions.

His career has centered on understanding how housing systems actually function: from underwriting deals and navigating transactions to shaping local housing strategy and public investment.
